Foster Update: Gus is one of the best-behaved fosters I have ever had, and I have had a LOT of fosters! He is a sweetheart of a dog who is has had a lot of training, is incredibly obedient, wants to please, has never made so much as a peep, and gets so excited to see his person! Gus is house trained, crate trained (knows "go to your crate"), knows a large number of commands, and is doing great with my friendly resident dog. Gus lived with a cat in his previous foster home, and did not mind her at all, except when she hissed at him. He walks extremely well on a head harness, hardly ever pulling and responding well to verbal commands or a slight tug on the leash when he does. Gus doesn't love when other dogs snarl, bark, or growl at him when he's walking on leash, but his reaction is easily preventable and very redirectable. He has no problem walking with his foster sister, or passing other well-behaved dogs. Gus has also gone to doggie daycare without a problem. Gus is a very special member of the Muddy Paws Pack, and in order to keep his good manners in tip-top shape, he does need a more specific type of adoptive human. If you're curious to learn more about Gus, please reach out to Muddy Paws! (See below) ________ Gus is a 2.5 year-old Lab/Whippet mix who is currently full grown at about 50lbs. He is up to date on all age appropriate medical care and microchipped. This dog is available for adoption through Muddy Paws Rescue. If you're interested in adopting, the first thing you should do is fill out an adoption application at www.muddypawsrescue.org. We will be in touch with you within 7 days of receiving your application!
