Tony is known as the shelter "Romeo. He is a 2-year-old handsome "Black Panther with a charming, loving personality. It was very hard to photograph him as he just wanted to roll around and get scratchin's. He is FIV positive but that really is not a big issue. He needs to be situated in a home where any other cats are already spayed/neutered and he MUST be an Indoor Only cat. A home with dogs is fine when introduced properly to the dog(s). He must have check-ups twice per year as dental issues are a possibility (as with ALL pets) and fed a nutritious diet (NO raw foods). FIV positive cats can live as long as negative cats with proper nutrition and medical monitoring!!! Here is a link to an excellent article from Cornell University (also available on our website) https://www.vet.cornell.edu/departments-centers-and-institutes/cornell-feline-health-center/health-information/feline-health-topics/feline-immunodeficiency-virus Please don't pass by Tony (or any cat) just because he's FIV positive.... he's only 2 and he deserves, and can live a long and happy life as your resident Romeo. You really need to meet this guy!
