Meet Auburn! Auburn came to us through fate. We were set to save a handful of dogs from a rural shelter in Oklahoma, when one of them got reclaimed by its owner and was no longer in need. We had already arranged a boarding spot at a nearby vet so this meant we could save one more life. Even though we'd already checked the euthanasia list that morning and there were no dogs scheduled, something pulled us to check it and lo-and-behold this other boy was staring right back at me. It was already 3 PM when they usually start euthanizing and we suppose at some point during the day he must've gotten put on there, for reasons we'll never understand. So we scrambled to reach out and by some miracle of this boy is alive another day and was welcomed into the A&F family! He is but 3 years old and a smaller guy at only 38 pounds, very friendly and happy to be alive.
