Maximo ACCT-A-93567 is currently considered urgent and at risk of euthanasia due to medical and behavioral concerns. Maximo is an adult male cat surrendered to the shelter with his housemate when his owner passed away. Prior to intake, he was with a friend for approximately a week. Since in shelter, Maximo has not been able to be handled much, initially hissing and growling with a tense body. Maximo was suspect for ringworm due to some hair loss behind his ears. A wood's lamp and culture did not indicate he was positive, however since he can be minimally handled, there is still a possibility. Based on his behavior, Maximo is unlikely to be placed from the shelter and ideally would transition to a foster home where he can show his true personality and find the right adopter.
