Tyson is a pit bull/husky mix and is around 5-6 years old. We don't know his exact birth date but we knew around the month he was born so we decided on January 21st. Tyson is a very sweet boy who loves absolutely everyone. He would do anything to come say hi to you. He is friendly and playful with other dogs and cats. Tyson did suffer from mange around July/August of 2023 but has completely recovered! Unfortunately, for some reason after his mange, Tyson's anxiety had become worse. He was completely fine with staying home with my other dog and cat while I went to work until this point. He has quite a bit of separation anxiety. He is now on anxiety medication prescribed from the vet and is going to daycare. I am unable to afford daycare as well as a trainer to help overcome his anxiety. Tyson would do very well in a home with other cats, dogs, children, or even being an only dog. He does prefer dogs that are smaller than him but warms up to larger dogs as well. He needs someone that can care for his needs. He loves to play outside and go for walks, as well as cuddling on the couch or in bed. Tyson likes to pick his favorite spot on the couch and will usually watch you and wait for you to move out of his spot or try to climb up and squeeze in with you. He is a big love bug at 65 lbs. He is very patient with my other dog, a chihuahua, who thinks he runs the house. Tyson loves going out as well! He likes to walk around the city, hang out at restaurants and bars, and just say hi to everyone he can. He is overall, a fantastic dog that just needs a little bit of care with his anxiety.
Tyson is participating in The Love Pit's iRehome program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster. All behavior and medical information is provided by their caretaker, and TLP encourages all adopters to verify the information with their caretaker prior to adoption.
