Meet Sherlock Bones!
Sherlock Bones - the dashing detective of doggy charm! With his striking charcoal coat and a heart as soft as his fur, Sherlock (a former stray) is on a mission to find his new home-where he can swap mystery novels for cozy couch cuddles and thrilling walks.
This handsome hunk might be a bit reserved at first, but give him a little time, and he'll reveal his goofy, affectionate side. He's a true adventurer who loves outdoor escapades and will eagerly follow up with some quality snoozing on the couch.
Sherlock's past is a bit of a puzzle, but what we do know is that he's a gentle giant with a touch of shyness around men. He's more comfortable with female-presenting folks and, once he's settled in, his playful spirit shines through. His most recent foster described him as a fun-loving toy enthusiast who's as playful as he is polite-no accidents and a clear communicator when it's time for a bathroom break!
Sherlock is the perfect companion for those looking for a loving, loyal friend. If you've got a dog already, bring them along to meet Sherlock; we'll set up a meet-and-greet to ensure it's a perfect match. While we don't have information about how he interacts with cats, his high prey drive suggests he'd prefer a feline-free home.
Looking for a gentle giant to add some joy to your life? Come meet Sherlock Bones at HSCC and see if this big-hearted boy is the best friend you've been searching for!
Dogs: Sherlock is dog social. Have a dog at home? Come meet Sherlock at HSCC and if it's a good match we will arrange for a time for you to return with your canine companion(s) for a meet and greet prior to heading home.
Cats: Sherlock has a high prey drive and we would not recommend that he go to a home with feline friends.
Children: Due to his size and strength, Sherlock Bones may be most successful in a home with older children, teens and adults.
Please visit our Adoption Center Tuesday - Friday 1 PM - 5 PM and Saturday 10 AM - 4 PM to see if Sherlock Bones could be your new best friend! Adoptions are first-come-first-served, please reference our Dogs page on our website for our Adoption process. Thank you!
